RUNNING fiasco

He's a freak alright. A freaking psycho.
Did you hear his song at the end? He was like screaming in this raspy voice (that sounded a bit like a crow's) "MIIIIINNND FREEEEEEEAAAAKKKK MIIIIINNNNDDD FREAAAAKKK" for at least 20 000 times.
But he's a really clever psycho.
His tricks are mostly really cool and I wonder how he pulls them off. Really, I do.
But I have better things to worry about.
Like for one, promos.
Okay....now let's move on. I think I've sufficiently discussed that subject.
Oh! I just have to blog about what happened that day when we all decided (under the mastermind influence of Amitha) to go running.
I swear I have NEVER gone running by the beach before.
And the experience was awesome. I just loved staring at the view as we ran past the sea, and the trees, and of course the Bangladesh (I'm not sure about this, but let's assume here that I'm right) workers who stared at us like they've never seen runners before.
We started out by stretching at lizzy's house. That was a ridiculous sight! Honestly!
All err...about four or five of us sprawled out in different stretching positions in Lizzy's living room.
Then when Lizzy came down she gave us her famous (or infamous) look and told us to go and stretch outside. Hahaha, i love you Lizzy.
So off we went, doing a little warm up exercise first before everyone gave a brief introduction to their recent running history. Location, date, company.
For some reason, I found this faintly amusing though no one else did. Well, according to Amitha, I'm easily amused. But I shall not venture there.
Yeah so then we ran, first along the track then at the beach.
It felt good seriously.
And me and Rannald were running ahead when Lizzy shouted (I swear she said this ok and I have Rannald to back me up) , "Hey guys turn when you see the point ok"
And I was like, I dunno where that is so I'll just let Rannald guide me.
And Lizzy retaliated, " It's really big one, you can't miss it."
So i turned to Rannald and asked him how would we know when we're there?
And he replied in this manner with accompanying hand gestures, "Well I suppose there'll be a big sign that says POINT and then we'll turn over there."
I nodded earnestly, thinking that that made a lot of sense.
It was only later, when we had reached the place we were supposed to turn at, that we realised that Lizzy meant POND. NOT point.
And Soefie declared that we all need hearing aids. You have company, Mr. Bala. (:
Okay so yeah anyway, after that the Westies made their way home and that included Soefie, Rannald and me.
We made a stop at Suntec to get me a caramel mocchiato although I didn't really want to but Soefie was insisting on it so we hopped off the bus.
But the drink was gooood. I like. Soefie hates it though. She hates coffee. I swear one day she'll be a caffeine-addict. Karma always catches up with you.
Yep then everywhere we went, we saw signs with offers for the IMF delegates.
Including the pretzels! There was a sign that read "buy any two premier specialty pretzels and get 1 free" but only IF you had the IMF badge.
And at Pastamania there was something free for them as well. Whatever man.
And because of them, we had to make this one whole big round to get to where we wanted.
I swear this phrase was repeated at least a dozen times, " We're never gonna get home."
Most number of times goes to Rannald dearest.
Yeah, but eventually we DID reach home and I was so tired that I showered and fell asleep on my nice, warm comfortable bed. With the scent of my shampoo and soap enveloping me. It was a very nice feeling.
So much for exercise making me feel REFRESHED. Pooh pooh to the person who said that.
Oh yeah, and i woke up after that to study a bit. Didn't feel very satisfied though.
Tomorrow's my birthday.
Saby's baking me a cake! She's so sweet! I hope the cake tastes good though. :/
Haha no la. Its the thought that counts. Plus she can bake. I'll testify to that with evidence from past encounters with her brownies and cookies.
Saturday we're having celebration at Fort Canning! Yay. Hopefully will have time and energy to blog abt that when its over.
