Rain rain come again...
When it rains in Singapore, it pours.
It has been raining non-stop here in our sunny island for the past few days, leading to floods. I went for training today and the skies seem to have cleared, so we proceeded with the training. Midway through though, the skies decided that they had given us enough leeway and decided to let loose its streams of water, such that we were drenched through while trying to master a 2-v-1 or a 3-v-2 for the game. It was actually really fun, playing like that in the rain, with all of us getting really wet but not minding a bit. I bet my super thin sports bra was revealing more than it should but then luckily for me, we were all girls. And so we had our last training of the year, all wet and muddy, with coach leaving us with a "Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year".

But that wasn't the end of the story. Since I hadn't foreseen having to change out of a muddy t-shirt, I had no choice but to go home in it. How obnoxiously delightful. I hate to admit it but I was rather amused by the number of stares I received from people as I walked to the train station as well as in the train itself. I decided to buy myself lunch after that and the aunty at the hawker centre stared at my shirt for a long time before attending to me. Dear, dear. It seems I like attracting attention, even if it is out of notoriousness.
So, let's sing "Rain, rain stay on long…go away another day" because as much as we seem to be complaining about the floods, the reality is that we're all enjoying this little bit of good weather aren't we??
